High-purity environmentally friendly zinc oxide mixed with EPDM and dispersants is used to make ZnO-80 after anti-static electricity processing. The cemented body protects the zinc oxide from the invading of moisture. Because the pre-dispersion of the main part of EPDM has already done, finished good feels smoother; the product could get higher module and more tensile strength. In the usual situation, it’s difficult for powdery ZnO to disperse evenly under the processing temperature. This causes the sulfide activeness to reduce, the curing rubber static state mechanical properties and the dynamic fatigue performance to drop. But ZnO-80 is able to disperse evenly and mix in the rubber fast and guarantee the best effective component activeness. Moreover, dispersed ZnO-80 is pellet, so that it cannot agglomerate under the storage condition, it can easily mix into the ingredients; the fluidity is good; there is little dust when workers operate the processing; it will not cause the feeding losses; Improve the stability and homogeneity of rubber. ZnO-80 can also avoid the heat expansion that often appears when powdery zinc oxide mixes the CR rubber materials. We suggest that ZnO should be mixed into the rubber last stage.
